Gender: Male & Female Age: 4 & 1 Breeds: English & Tan Size: Medium & Small
Bolwell & Baldwin
Gender: Brothers Age: 7 months Breed: Beveren Size: Large
These boys are simply perfection! Big, snuggleable, chunky fluff balls of pure love who just want affection 24/7. They are the first buns to greet you, the first to jump on your knee and ask for a cuddle and the ones you won't forget. Not a bad word can be said about them. They are both extremely loving and affectionate and love cuddles - unicorns!
Being brothers, they are very alike however Baldwin (grey) is the boss and usually comes running first, but Bolwell (black) is never far behind. Both are very food motivated, I mean VERY and will demolish 2kg of hay in an hour!! They are such a happy, healthy pair who will grow to be big doggy boys and are sure to be your very best friend. They love each others company but will both be at your feet for as much attention as they can lap up.
Indoors - these pair enjoy playing outside but they are happiest in the house with you where they can get tons of attention. They aren't destructive and love being free roam and having tons of space to play and binky in.
Kids - yes they are happy around children
Dogs - yes they are comfortable with dogs
Barbossa & Bellatrix
About Them: Gender: Females Age: Estimated 2-4 years old (found abandoned so we have no previous history) Breed: Mixed Sizes: Small and Large
Outdoors (or at least outdoor access for playtime)
No dogs (Barbossa is scared of dogs)
No special requirements needed however treats must be limited as both girls have struggled with their weights and have been extremely overweight and not very active so they have a tendency to gain weight if fed too much.
Bonsly & Braixen
About Them: Gender: Male & Female Age: 3 & 2 years Breed: Polish & Beveren Mix Size: Small & Medium
An interview with Braixen & Bonsly: Hi buns, since you have been residents within Baby Blue Bee Bunnies rescue, how have you been finding the services since you have arrived and do you find them satisfactory?
Braixen - "Personally, I have been satisfied with the amount of space but there most certainly could be more head rubs available. Is 24/7 too much to ask for??" Bonsly - "Oh yes, it has been much lovely hehe. I have been enjoying taking my time to settle in and getting the hang of finding everything in my own time."
Speaking with your current carer at the rescue Braixen, we were made aware of you chewing many articles including your wooden house. Is this now a pastime or are you looking to put that behind you now you have settled in?
Braixen - "Well... I may lead you into a false sense of security but when I get the chance.... CHOMP. Woops, I did it again, just a little bit though."
Bonsly obviously you were witness to these events as they were happening, what were your thoughts regarding these episodes?
Bonsly - "Umm, nothing to see here."
When you're feeling busy, what other activities do you like to engage in?
Braixen - "I'm a seeker of the human hand and like it to be pressed on top of my head while I melt into a bunny puddle on the floor. I also love to check new things out, I'm a bit of a nosy gal you see. I've always got to be first, I'm in charge of course so must decipher if new things are suitable and worthy of us."
Bonsly - "I love to do big crazy binkies and adventure out in the garden, that's where my tiny bit of cheekiness pops out. Otherwise I am a quiet gentle boy who loves to snooze in my hideaway and stay away from big scary sounds."
So obviously despite all your hay, feeding time is an important and exciting time of the day. What are your favourite things to eat?
Braixen - "Food, all the food. Any food, give me all the fooooooooood!"
Bonsly - "New things smell strange so I'll stick to what I know. My favourite treats are fenugreek crunchies which I will delicately take out of your hand. If you have any parsley, I'll take that too please thank you."
What are your hopes and dreams?
Braixen - "To be the only boss around, I don't hope to have any other buns enter into our perfect relationship. I dream of being treated like a queen and having a throne to lounge on every afternoon overlooking my kingdom and humans who serve me."
Bonsly - "I just hope my beautiful bunwife Braixen loves me forever and continues to groom me so perfectly and keep my fur so crystal white at all times. I dream of a home with a garden that has dandelions and herbs to nibble on all and for Summer never to end."
That sounds wonderful and sounds very achievable! What do you envision your 5 year plan to be?
Braixen - "I've got the next 10 years planned out darling! I expect to be adopted by the most wonderful human couple who will give me a big room to share with Bonsly and a garden to play in too. There we will live and get played with and not want for anything. The humans will not even notice I have one eye and will compensate by giving me extra treats and head rubs on demand. I think in 5 years time I will definitely reach a bun world record for chewing willow balls at record speed time!"
Bonsly - "We really need to be someone's one and only, their pride and joy who treat us with respect and patience. I plan to achieve more confidence and self belief and to be comfortable around new people that visit us. Because of my personality, I think I need to have lots of time to truly feel I belong somewhere and would rather be able to do that without any children or other animals around. I would particularly love Braixen to cuddle me for the next 5 years."
A garage/indoor style enclosure or large bunny bedroom would be perfect!
Lots of enrichment and no worry of skirting boards being nibbled.
No young children as Bonsly is anxious around very young children.
No dogs/cats who will interact directly with them.
Braixen is an EC bun which means she has had the condition EC which is why she had to have one eye removed. Both of them are in good health but cannot be housed in a home with other bunnies. Due to her loss of sight in one eye and Bonsly having poor vision too (blue eyes) you have to be patient and understanding of them being startled if you jump out at them and always talk to them first before approaching and they respond really well and will come running. They are both young, healthy strong buns who love their hay so would be good for first time owners in an ideally adult only home.
Bowmore & Balblair
About Them: Gender: Male & Female Age: 6 Years Breed: Mini Lop Size: Small (under 2kg)
Bindi & Buck
About Them: Gender: Mother & Son Age: 3 & 2 years Breed: Mini Lop Size: Small (under 2kg)
Personalities: This little playful pair love to get involved in everything exciting especially if it involves food and treats! They love finding and foraging and playing puzzle games to find their treats. They are a very adorable pair who enjoy human interaction, especially Bindi.
Bindi is the mother and bigger of the two, she is the boss and likes to keep her little son in check if he is being cheeky. She loves head and cheek rubs and begging for attention, she is the most confident and human focused. She loves to explore and isn't shy or bothered by loud sounds.
Buck is her little son and is a tiny tote. He is the more shy and anxious one especially with new people and places but once he settles and gets to know you he is a super friendly little chap. He has a cheeky little side and likes to squeeze his way into small spaces and make you think he has gotten lost and then binky when you find him.
Indoors: This pair would love to be free roam house buns where they can play all day.
Children: Yes, this pair are ok with children so long as they are old enough to respect their space and boundaries as Buck doesn't like to be forced to be interacted with.
Dogs: Yes both are ok around dogs so long as the dog is well behaved around them.
Special Requirements: Being mini lops, they will need regular teeth and ear checks at the vets. They will also need to stick with a specific diet as they have more sensitive digestive systems and cannot cope with eating any veggies or lots of fresh grass.
