Bonded Pairs

Bashful & Baffled

Picture
About Them:
Gender: Males
Age: 4 & 5 years
Breed: Mini Lops
Size: Dwarf (tiny 1kg!)

Personalities:

Home Environment:
They would love an indoor free roam home to potter around.
Both are ok around children who are patient and calm.
Ok around dogs so long as large and calm.

Special Requirements:
Dry natural diet required due to their breed. They have very dense coats that need regular grooming (we offer this here at the rescue should you need help). As mini lops, they also need regular check ups on their ears and teeth by a good rabbit vet.

Adopted

About Them:
Gender: Female & Male
Age: 1 Year
Breed: Dwarf Lops
Size: Medium

Personalities:
This pair are like a little pair of teddy bears! They are an adoring couple and where one goes, the other is never far behind. They are a very well behaved pair who aren't destructive or really nervous, they would love an easy going home where they can lounge about.

Breagh (Bree-ah) is a sweet little angel who does the funniest big binkies. She takes longer to settle in new places than Brams but when she feels comfortable she will be the one to explore more. She is very gentle and has such a kind personality, she wouldn't say boo to a goose!

Bramwell is a big loveable chunk and is the confident, outgoing one. He likes attention and will nose bump you if you aren't quick enough with the treats. He can be lazy and enjoys pottering about at his own pace.

Home Environment:
They would love an indoor free roam home to potter around at their leisure, Breagh does really enjoy her outdoor play time but they are a big fans of comfy couches and lazy living room days.
Both are good around children who are patient and calm, Breagh is more anxious around boisterous kids. They would be a lovely pair for a family to enjoy spending lots of time with.

Special Requirements:
No special requirements although they have very dense coats that need regular grooming (we offer this here at the rescue should you need help). As mini lops, they also need regular check ups on their ears and teeth by a good rabbit vet.

Boost & Bump

Adopted

About Them:
Gender: Males (brothers)
Age: 1.5 years
Breed: English Spots
Size: Medium

Personalities:
These brothers have been described as "the perfect buns" by their foster mom. You simply couldn't ask for a more well rounded, 'rabbity' pair of boys who give us no worries at all. They have incredible personalities and an amazing relationship together, we could watch them all day. Boost (spotty) is the big boss but he never has to tell his stripy brother Bump off. Boost likes to boost off into the sunset doing his evening zoomies and laps round the garden and Bump loves to nose bump you for treats until you give in. They both love head rubs and are waiting for your attention whenever you come by.

Home Environment:
They adore the big outdoors and just playing and binkying all day in the garden. They would love to have a big outdoor enclosure to play in and a family to enjoy spending time with. They love the company of children, the smaller the better! They are very active and enjoy toys, games and enrichment so need to have lots of stimulation and things to chew, dig and play with.

Special Requirements:
Nothing needed other than lots of fun for these boys! They are great hay eaters and in fantastic health, just a happy, robust pair of big amazing buns!

Benny & Bananarama (Banana)

Status: Adopted

About Them:
Gender: Males
Age: 9 months & 2 years
Breed: Mini Lop & English Spot
Size: Dwarf & Medium

Personalities:
We are completely in love with these boys! Having come in to us as single buns, they have been a huge journey with us. Bananarama arrived to us last year a very sick bun with Coccidiosis and had to have many months of specialist vet care and rehabilitation, we were told multiple times that he wouldn't make it. But this boy is a fighter and he didn't want to give us. Now he is a fighting fit, happy boy! Due to the condition he had, he had to have a companion with the same condition. We were contacted by someone who had a pair of young buns and sadly lost one of them to this condition, the brother was now alone and needed a companion and so the decision was made to give him up. We knew right away that he was perfect for Banana boy! Benny was immune to the condition but was able to live with a bun that had it and was not at risk. He has the most gentle personality and the two of them made a life long friendship together here at the rescue as we bonded them together. They are the very best of friends and have now lived together happily for many months and they are ready to find a home together.

Benny is a very sweet little bun with a gentle nature and is a big grubber. He loves food puzzles and rolling his treat ball around and is King of the nose boops, always giving you little boops to say hello. He is happy to follow Banana around and take his lead, but gets away with stealing food out of Banana's mouth! He has a cheeky little side that loves to binky and flop, his death flops are equally cute and terrifying. He is such a content, happy little guy and doesn't mind being puppy penned in.

Bananarama is a complete sook and always looking for affection, massages and rubs, he will sit all day and night for head rubs and snuggles. He will thank you by giving you tons of kisses back and squish beside you. He likes to stand on his back legs to beg for attention and treats. He looks out for his buddy Benny and always checks in with him that he is ok  He is such a spirited boy who has a joy for life and has bet every odd against him, he thrives knowing that he is loved.

Home Environment:
  • No young children under 12
  • No boisterous dogs - While both boys do not mind gentle natured dogs, we would have to take into consideration the type of dog and their tolerance of rabbits, as the boys need to have free roam of at least one area that a dog could not access.
  • They must be the only rabbits in the household unless you also have a rabbit with Cocci that they can be bonded with. Coccidia can be transmitted to another rabbit so we would not take this risk.
  • These boys must be kept as indoor rabbits as Banana struggles maintaining his weight outside and needs closer monitoring. They are both so well behaved and can be trusted to completely free roam, they don't dig or chew anything. They are complete angels who are a joy to be around and make you smile everyday. The only thing that they are partial to is a munch at paper/cardboard so keep those away from their nashers or your box might get munched!
  • Access to an exotic vet is a must. While we don't expect that either boy will have any more health issues as they have the all clear, it is important to have access to a good vet just incase.

Special Requirements:
This pair will make someone very very happy with love and joy every day, you couldn't ask for a better behaved, gentle, affectionate pair of buns. However, they need somewhere stable and secure. Don't let their history put you off as there is a high likelihood that this will not have any impact on them the rest of their lives, we have a specific diet plan for them that works well that we would support you with.

Bitsy & Breyton

Status: Available

About Them:
Gender: Female & Male
Age: 1 & 6 years
Breed: Mini Lop & Dwarf Lop
Size: Dwarf & Medium

Personalities:
Bitsy and Breyton are a pair made up of complete opposites, because opposites really do attract! Bitsy came into us a very defensive little bun and spent many months being rehabilitated by our Behaviourist and was matched and bonded with BBBB single bun Breyton who provided her the stability and confidence that she needed to settle, now she is a different bun! Both of them are just a joy to spend time with and both enjoy different activities so you will never be bored. They are so affectionate and love to press their heads together for combined head rubs and will sit and snuggle with you as long as you sit with them.

Bitsy is the young tiny pocket rocket who whizzes around playing and jumping around all day. She loves to explore and is confident now to leave Breyton's side and go off on adventures. She loves to jump really high and will literally climb the walls!

Breyton is the bigger, older chilled, placid lad who likes a slower paced life. He is calm, confident and always composed and loves nothing more than sunbathing as Bitsy zooms past. He loves cuddles and all the rubs, massages and affection he can get and will literally lie for snuggles all day. He is a pampered boy!

Home Environment:
This pair are the perfect free roam house buns and extremely well behaved, they are not rabbity rabbits at all and very people orientated. Breyton loves to snuggle up on the couch but Bitsy loves to play so they need a space they can both enjoy.
No children under 16.

Special Requirements:
Both buns have different needs but being lops they need to have regular ear checks by a rabbit vet. Breyton can be prone to weight loss as he presents as a more senior bun so needs extra supplements to help with his weight.

Becc & Blar

Status: Adopted

About Them:
Gender: Male & Female
Age: 4 & 7 years
Breed: Mini Lop & Havana
Size: Small

Personalities:

This wonderful pair arrived to us needing lots of TLC and a big diet and weight loss programme which we have worked through with them. They have come such a long way already and are now happier, more playful and nice and look lovely and trim! Not to mention ADORE their hay! They are a really sweet, gentle pair who like their own space and leisure time, they are so peaceful to spend time with and absolutely adore each other, always kissing and snuggling together.

Becc meaning "really little" is indeed, really little! He is a tiny mini lop with a big personality! He loves exploring and is a playful wee boy but loves a big smoosh and will sit for strokes all afternoon. He likes to keep Blar in check, always the wee ones you have to look out for! He loves a digging box and doing big flop and rolls and has the chubbiest wee cheeks.

Blar meaning "from the fields" is a true bunny like girl with the most stunning big brown eyes and soft, shiny black coat. She loves her tunnels and plastic keys to throw around, she also loves going for little adventures when she thinks you aren't looking. She may be middle aged but she certainly doesn't look it, she still looks like a 1 year old and is so young at heart. She doesn't protest at nail clipping day and is so patient, even though she would much rather be doing other things!

Home Environment:
They aren't a destructive pair and very well behaved with their toys and blankets, very tidy too! While they have lived outside all their lives, these two really love snuggling up inside and would be best being either indoor free roam or having a garage/summer house type set up. They happily sit out in all weathers even in the snow and rain they will choose to sit out in the most unsheltered bit they can all night, but unfortunately this has caused issues with Beccs coat not being maintained and getting into a state as he needs lots of grooming. It's better for them as they get older to be in a more indoor type of housing, especially as they are so well behaved free roaming and they can always get limited outdoor play time when supervised (no fresh grass time for Becc). They aren't big fans of "little people" and would prefer a quiet, adult only home. They interact happily with dogs and are not phased in the slightest by other animal species.

Special Requirements:
While this pair are middle aged now, as they age more consideration will be needed for their health and mobility and making sure they are kept trim and in tip top shape. Becc being such a squished mini lop needs regular health checks by a rabbit vet as he gets waxy ears and other typical mini lop problems, he also needs a very specific dry, hay based diet which means seperating them for 5 - 10 mins while Blar gets her fresh herbs. We can provide a diet plan for them both to keep them on the right track and not undo the hard work we have put in with their diet and weight loss.

Boom & Blast

Status: Adopted

About Them:
Gender: Females
Age: 14 weeks old
Breed: Mix lop & Velveteen Lop
Size: Medium

Personalities:
Boom (black) and Blast (orange), what a pair! From the sad moment these girls arrived in the cardboard box at the gate of the rescue, they have brought joy and sunshine to us all here. They are full of love, fun and excitement and want nothing more than to cuddle (floor cuddles only!!) and play all day. They are typical boisterous babies and Blast can often be heard battering about her kennel binkying off the ceiling and walls. They love to jump up high onto everything, including your back when you're cleaning! They are just completely adorable, friendly and affectionate in every way and have grown so much in confidence since they arrived to us, the minute they hear you they come running to greet you at the door and hop up onto your knee. Blast is the more confident adventurous one (although they are both super explorers) and leads the relationship, Boom is a little more cautious of new people and will wait behind Blast while she checks you out. Once they both know you, they will compete for rubs and treats. Boom spends most time of her two back legs like a little meerkat and is always begging for something, she is just such a fascinating bun as she is a completely unique and rare type of bun with the velvet rex coat, we could stare at her all day! Her ears are huge and wild, she moves them up, down and all around, it's so cute! Blast loves head rubs and back rubs, cheek rubs and is learning to sit still and enjoy them more every day, then it's straight back to playing.

Home Environment:
These girls would need and love a big enclosure outdoors that they can really explore with tons of toys and enrichment and they can binky and jump to their hearts content. They cannot be cooped up and would not enjoy being in a house restricted to a room or puppy pen. They would be great for a family who wants a fun, interactive pair of fluffy family members and have the time to spend playing with them, they are also fantastic to clicker train! They are not bothered by dogs or cats and will certainly rule the roost when they grow up. They love kids too, kids just have to respect the needs for them to interact on their ground level at all times.

Special Requirements:
Toys and fun, fun, fun! These girls are in tip top health, love their hay and have no concerns or special requirements. They need space, attention and time to spend with them and enjoy their crazy cute ways.
