Berani

AVAILABLE

About

Age: 2 Years
Breed: Netherland Dwarf
Gender: Female
Size: Dwarf

Berani has been on quite the journey to get to us and sadly has a very sad back story. She was dumped on the coldest day of the year out in a housing estate while pregnant to fend for herself. A kind person found her and she was brought to the rescue, on arriving she self aborted her babies through severe stress and trauma.

We have worked with her for many months now to rehabilitate her and help her through  her defensive behaviours to trust humans again. She is a very insecure little girl who alludes confidence, she will always run to explore things and check new things out straight away but this is superficial confidence and she is inside very anxious and unsure so will go into fight mode rather than flight mode. Underneath her big protective shell, she is a sweet and kind little soul who is easily misunderstood. She absolutely adores head rubs and affection when she trusts you she gets so happy to see you.

Now that Berani has learned how to play with toys she has become so playful, but she's very well behaved and doesn't chew or dig. She absolutely loves her snuffle mat, her treat ball and tunnels now and plays with them all day.

Home Criteria

Berani needs an experienced human who is able and willing to allow her time and patience to build trust with her. She is cheeky and affectionate, but does prefer gentle calm people and doesn't trust men.

She cannot be adopted into a home with children as she can bite if she is intimidated.

No dogs/cats.

Indoor home needed, ideally free roam where she can play and do zoomies as she is very active.

Special Requirements

She is healthy and has no health issues or special needs.
