Benicar
About
Age: 3.5 years
Breed: Mini Lop
Size: Medium
Benicar came to us with his brother Bumex, they had been living separately on different levels of a hutch outside. Benicar was extremely stressed and highly strung being outside, so since coming to us we have been learning what makes him tick and letting him find what he loves. The result? A super cheerful, busy bee with a happy honk! You can expect a mountain of non stop plush cuddles and kisses from this little boy as he loves to smother you in affection and be smothered himself.
Benicar's day starts off with a buzzing trip to the kitchen to mooch for his breakfast fibrestick snacks, after that a quick flop on the rug while the humans leave him in peace to nap. The afternoon involves lots of hay munching and ears lifting up like radars at every sound wondering if it could be the humans coming home. He runs to greet the humans as they enter the house again and he does happy laps round their feet. Booping their legs to say hello and putting his chunky chops under their hand for head rubs while he purrs. He lies with his people and graces their forehead with an abundance of kisses with his little tongue. He awaits to be served his forage on his special plate, nothing less will do. The evening includes zoomies and non stop whizzing around and nudging the hoover while it picks up his stray strands of hay he has left like glitter.
This buzzing busy boy is super nosy and cannot sit still if he thinks he is missing out on something or someone. He isn't very patient and likes things his way, but he is so cute and happy that you can't help but give into his big brown eyes. With other rabbits he can be best likened to the annoying little brother, he wants attention and constant "look at me". He isn't assertive or overly brazen, but does love to honk and hump (a lot!) and this can get him told off.

Home Criteria
- Benicar loves to be indoors and finds the world easier to deal with and be confident when in the house. He needs an indoor only home so would suit someone in an apartment/flat. He is very trustworthy free roaming so would be ideal as a free roamer.
- Cannot live with dogs.
Special Requirements
Benicar came to us quite overweight so needs someone who can keep him on a strict feeding routine that we have him on. He needs a mainly dry diet and thrives with dried forage and hay.
As with all lops, he needs regular exotic vet check ups, especially as he is over 3.
His coat is extremely plush and dense, this requires a lot of grooming.
