We are looking for a locum small animal veterinary surgeon to join our team.
Locum Vet - CURRENTLY RECRUITING (PAID ROLE)
Come and make a difference in rabbits lives across Scotland. As Scotlands SAWE representatives for rabbit welfare, we pride ourselves in setting the standards and best practise for rabbits. Petplan ADCH Animal Charity of the Year Finalists 2022 and Animal Star Awards Rescue & Rehoming centre of the year Finalists 2024.
You will be involved in both maintaining our high standards of medical care, assisting in making welfare decisions at the rescue and helping set up and work in our new clinic on site. There will be opportunities for advanced studies in alternate therapies depending on the candidates experience.
What's required?
An interest in rabbit medicine and relevant experience
Transport to get to the rescue once per month
A passion for welfare and ethics - as BBBB are members of VAB and sit on various welfare boards, this is essential
Role involves:
Sitting on our welfare board to assist with welfare decisions and creating policy documents
Working in our clinic on-site with rescue and sanctuary rabbits and assisting in the running and set up of new equipment
Updating our veterinary and kenneling software when required
Managing and adjusting dosing and prescriptions via our veterinary medicine wholesaler
Keeping up to date with rabbit CPD
Time Commitment:
Remote ad hoc and 1 day per month (flexible on day) on-site
