Win Beatrix's Pirate Ship! Ahoy
Ahoy there! Captain Beatrix is raffling off her (Animal Adventure Pods) pirate ship to raise funds to help the bunnies at the rescue. The ship, known far and wide as "The Blue Pearl," is a majestic vessel with a history of adventure on the high seas. Tickets for the raffle are being sold at the local “harbour” - full details below.
What are we fundraising for Captain Beatrix?
“We are currently seeking funds to purchase a tonometer, an essential tool for screening and managing glaucoma, a condition that can harm the optic nerve in the eye. Without this device, we cannot determine if a rabbit has glaucoma until it is too late, often leading to the removal of the affected eye. By obtaining a tonometer, we will be able to conduct regular tests and implement proactive treatments to preserve the eye. It’s too late for me but if selling my pirate ship saves other bunnies’ eyes then I’ll hang up my pirate hat and take up gardening!”

Tickets are £1 each and you can buy as many tickets as you wish.
Tickets can be purchased from the 31st July to the 9th August.
The winner will be drawn live and an email to all entrants will be sent confirming date and time of the draw.

Beatrix’s story
Beatrix is our half wild sanctuary bunny. She's the bunny we use for The Rabbit Clinic educational images as she's just perfect.
She lives with her old man Stan, who she has been a foster friend for since 2020.
Sadly she developed rare growths behind both eyes which caused severe glaucoma. Despite the growths presenting like melanoma, specialists concluded it cannot be but this has never been seen in rabbits and there is no literature on what she has anywhere. Unfortunately too familiar a scenario for us!
Having the Tonometer allows us to closely monitor her remaining eye and adjust her treatment drops each week. Being half wild means she gets severely stressed going back and forth an hour and back for weekly vet visits. This is a kinder and more ethical option for her.
Info about the ship itself -
This is a large ship which be can used by all bunnies, guinea pigs or even cats. It is large enough for even giant rabbits to use and groups of bunnies.
Beatrix's Pirate Ship is second hand and has been lightly used. It has since been sanded and fully disinfected with vet grade cleaner and flat packed to be shipped UK wide. It will arrive flat packed and require a screwdriver to put together. The winner can also choose to have it painted by us before it gets shipped, or it can be painted by the winner.
