Rambling for Rabbit Welfare

sign up to the kiltwalk
Hop, walk and binky with us as we raise funds for rabbits across Scotland.

In the first few months of 2025, we have already taken in 20 rabbits and 3 welfare cases. Amongst these, our latest family group in need - the Whisky Bunnies. Used for breeding to fund drugs, the poor little mother bun is only a year old but has had at least 3 litters. Our team uncovered the appalling conditions they were living in when they were called to assist as housing association were removing the tenants. On collecting the family of buns, they found the 6 little babies covered in fleas and urine, shockingly skinny and stinking of smoke. The mother, fed on muesli is in need of dental treatment and exhausted from raising so many young.  To neuter and vaccinate this family alone will cost us £1600.

To raise funds for the Whisky bunnies, we have signed up to the Glasgow Kiltwalk. This is Scotland's largest organised charity event, walking the distance of a marathon to raise money for charities. Baby Blue Bee Bunnies has been accepted as a cause to be sponsored for and we would love you to join us.

We will be walking as a collective large group in 2 teams, sharing our passion for rabbit welfare and spreading awareness to all that we meet. The 23 mile trek across Glasgow is on Sunday 27th April, and we hope you will support us.

In the lead up over Easter, we will be launching an education campaign across our social media platforms with the objective to get the public to ditch cages and avoid buying rabbits.

How to support us

  • Sign up to the Kiltwalk and join us. If you can't do the Glasgow one, you can also sign up for the Edinburgh or Dundee events which are later in the year. You will still be able to get sponsorships, get one of our Tshirts to wear and raise funds for us while accomplishing this huge achievement.
  • Sponsor us. By donating to our People's fundraising page, you will be sponsoring our team doing this. All donations go to the veterinary care and treatment for the Whisky Bunnies.
  •  Share our page and link to others to tell them about what we are doing and get them to sponsor us too. Every share and penny counts!
