Bunzilla & Behemoth
About
Gender: Female & Male
Breed: Continental Giants
Size: Giant
Age: 1 year
This magnificent pair will amaze you, with their sheer size and big characters. These two will take over your garden, your bank balance and your heart too. They truly are a special one of a kind pair and for someone who has a huge space in their heart and home. They are brother and sister and have been through quite the journey with us over the last year and are now looking for their forever home. Both are confident but do get startled by loud noises, especially Behemoth. They are both affectionate and like human company however are happiest just spending time together and like to do their own thing in the garden. Watching them happily flopping together, you won't feel bad going out to work and leaving them to do their own thing.
Bunzilla is the sister and she is not to be messed with. She is very bossy with humans and what she wants, she gets. If she wants an head rubs you better oblige, and if she wants more, she will grab your sleeve and tell you! She is very sweet and super loving, she loves her digging box and foraging. She especially adores her willow balls and can go through one in record speed.
Behemoth is the brother and he is the boss! He will be the one to send Bunzilla out to check things for him and then he reaps the rewards. He is a very affectionate boy but does not like being touched on his head. He is super food motivated and will do anything for a piece of dandelion root or chunk of wood!

Home Criteria
With a huge combined size of almost 20kg, taking these two on should not be taken lightly! They are very large, larger than most giants and require an experienced home.
They were trialed in an indoor home and were not happy (and made many attempts to gnaw their way out!), they do not like being inside and love spending all of their time in the garden, even in the rain! They need a very large garden and a huge outdoor secure set up that they can enjoy. They are currently being housed in a very large shed & aviary set up which they love and they still require daily garden free roam time to ensure their joints are mobile and active or they gain weight and become lazy. We will not adopt them out to anything less than a secure 12ft outdoor shed/enclosure and with either a large aviary or a garden for supervised roaming time.
This pair would tolerate the presence of a calm, quiet dog however they will not integrate willingly with them and they should be given time to get used to them. They must be the only rabbits in the home and are content as a pair.
Cannot be rehomed to a home with children under 11.

Special Requirements
Giant rabbits sadly have shorter lifespans (only 4-6 years) and require a lot of extra care. Extra care must be taken with their joints, they are fragile and prone to fractures and arthritis so they need a lot of non slip rugs and things to jump up and down on that are safe. They need an exotic vet who can manage their health care over their lives.
