Brasso
About
Age: 3 years
Breed: Double Maned Lionhead
Size: Small
Gender: Female
Our little polisher knows how to make your heart flutter with her butterfly ears, but she needs someone to listen to her and not just stare at her beauty. She is typical to her breeding and is naturally shy, a little anxious and doesn't like being overwhelmed in her space.
Once she settles in, you will see her personality come out and particularly her love of puzzle toys! As she warms up, just like rubbing something with 'Brasso', you will see her shine. She is a smart girl and loves to work new puzzles out and there is nothing cuter than her trying to get her treats out of her treat ball. She can even do the dusting for you as she squeezes under the sofa to collect the dust bunnies!
In the months we've gotten to know her and spent time with her, she now does happy shakes when we come in the room, runs straight over for a nose rub and is always excited for new toys. With bunnies like her, the right environment, kindness and patience always wins and the bond you get back is worth everything.
Brasso is a very sensitive gentle girl and needs the security of another rabbit to truly feel safe and continue to build her confidence. We know with a calm, stable leader for her to follow, she will be so much happier and content. We are looking for a bun companion for her who will take charge, guide her and look after her, or even two who can take her under their wing.

Home Criteria
Brasso needs a calm, conscientious home environment which is willing to create the right space for her and give her time to settle. She is not suited to new bunny caregivers and would be best with someone who has experience with rabbits (a bonus if they have experience wit this particular breed).
- Indoor home - no small pens as she may guard a small area. She won't go up or down stairs on her own and is trusted in the house without chewing areas she shouldn't but does need enrichment to keep her mind busy.
- No children under 10. A child free home would be best for her but if there is an older child/teen who is rabbit savvy we would also consider this.
- No dogs/cats - Brasso does not feel safe around other animals which leads to anxious and defensive behaviours.
Special Requirements
You must be willing to learn how to groom her as her breed requires extra grooming. If living local to the rescue we are also happy to do this for her on a regular basis.
