Blitzle
AVAILABLE
About
Age: UNKNOWN (adult female approx 3-5)
Breed: Dwarf mix
Size: Small
Gender: Female
Blitzle, yet another bunny dumped no longer wanted, walked up to some strangers and asked for help. Eventually she found herself safe at BBBB, counting her lucky stars.
Anyone who meets Blitzle has to have their bags searched on the way out! This girl is a unique bundle of snugglebug'ness. and absolutely adores human connection. She will follow you around like a puppy, desperate for attention and will rest her little head on your foot to be stroked. She loves to flop and get massaged, the firmer the better and no bit of her is off limits - even the belly!
She has boundless energy and loves exploring, she hates being cooped up and gets bored easily. If you spend a lot of time interacting with her, she is a very happy girl. She favours affection over any food, treat or toy although we have found a few toys that she loves. She is extremely intelligent, confident, outgoing and bolshy, not scared of anyone or anything and will run straight to danger to say hello. She learns words and phrases quickly and works new things out very fast.
She sounds perfect doesn't she? She does however have a few flaws, like all of us! She has been really difficult to work on her hay eating and we have only just conquered it so she needs a companion who is a good hay eater for her to keep it up and social graze with.
Companion criteria: Blitzle has some previous rabbit trauma and while she goes immediately as besties with all humans she meets, the same can't be said for her approach to meeting rabbits. Blitzle will need bonded here at the rescue as we will not allow her to be taken home for a home bond attempt. Once bonded, she will be a very nurturing companion and be a great role model to improve relationships between her other rabbit and their human as she will help another rabbit to be more confident, outgoing and social with people and new environments. However she needs a very specific approach to bonding her. Blizle can be bonded either with a passive, neutral rabbit who is confident around other rabbits and will not be phased by her or a shy timid pair who are rabbit social but need improvement in their confidence with people. Our behaviourist will assess whether your rabbit/s would be a good fit for bonding with Blitzle.

Home Criteria
- She likes to play outside but also be free roaming with you indoors and would be happy in many environments as long as she has a lot of space and attention - she cannot be penned in indoors (she will be very frustrated!) or be in a small enclosure outside with no attention.
- She would be best suited either to a very busy household or someone who works from home so she gets lots of interaction.
- Blitzle would be a fantastic candidate to live in a multispecies household as she gets on very well with dogs, cats and birds. She thinks everyone is her friend!
- Can live with children of all ages, she is incredibly sweet and gentle with little kids and big ones too.
Special Requirements
Blitzle is in great health and as a non-extreme breed rabbit, she will not be prone to any breed associated health issues which is a blessing. She has a slick back coat type which is the lowest maintenance (another bonus!).
One special requirement: she will need to be bonded at the rescue by our Behaviourist to ensure success during the bonding process
